Shruti Ulfat is a noted character artist associated with Hindi entertainment industry. She is a popular TV host too. She appears on television and Bollywood movies, apart from stage plays. She played some noted supporting roles in Bollywood in the first half of 2000s which include - Raaz, Aetbaar and Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan. A familiar face of television over the years, she also played pivot role in many popular soap operas. Rano in Sasural Genda Phool is one among her popular roles. Aao Bahen Chugli Karen, Khamoshiyaan, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Chattan, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Mumkin, Achanak, Shriman Shrimati etc are some of her popular shows. She is married to noted theatre personality, Alok Ulfat – the founder of Avikal theatre company in the 1990s.

Shruti Ulfat is known for her stunning and mature roles on Indian television. She is equally popular as a TV host too. She has hosted many music shows on television such as Chalti Ka Naam Antakshari, Max Top Ten etc. She currently hosts Stree Shakti, a talk show for women on DD National and also appears in Zee TV's show Jamai Raja. She is quite active in television scene and played prominent roles in Savdhan India, Gustakh Dil and Mahakumb in the recent times. Currently she portrays mother roles for television shows and owns a successful stint in television industry.

She started her professional journey with a small theater group in Dehradun at a young age. Later she moved to Mumbai and got associated with television industry. She is currently associated with nautanki acts too, which have been popular decades ago. In 2014 she became active in this field displaying her talents in the long forgotten tradition of street and nukkad plays.
