Sanaya Irani was born on 17th September 1983 in Mumbai in Maharashtra. She completed her schooling at Ooty and then got her graduation from Sydenham College. Her religion is Zoroastrianism. She is dating Mohit who acted with her in Miley Jab Hum Tum and said to be in a committed relationship.
Her photography by Boman Irani marked her career in modeling industry. She has appeared in many commercials including that of Airtel, Reliance, Pepsi, etc. She made her acting debut through the son Tumko Dekha To Yeh. Then she appeared in some music videos. She started her career in acting in 2006 in the film Fanaa by Yash Raj.
She entered television industry through Left Right Left aired on SAB TV. She then did a negative role in Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi on Imagine TV. She hosted the second season Zara Nachke Dikha on STAR Plus.
She became popular in many countries after her portrayal of Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? She also participated in the reality show Welcome – Bazzi Mehman Nawazi Ki hosted by Ram Kapoor.
