Saanand Verma Biography

Saanand Verma is a noted character artist associated with Hindi television network. He has also appeared in a few Bollywood films. He has played supporting and comic roles in numerous television soaps in the past few years. Currently he plays the role of "Anokhe Lal Saxena" in the serial Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain! The show is aired on &TV. In 2014 he made his Bollywood debut through Mardaani starring Rani Mukherji. He played the supporting role of Kapil in this action packed thriller. Later he was seen in Jackie Shroff starrer Life is Good in 2015.

 

He started his television career in 2010 with CID. He shot to fame after the TV show, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain and his one liner, ‘I Like It’ was loved by TV viewers. The famous dialogues - ‘I Like It’ and ‘I don’t Like It’ and the slapping scenes made him a popular actor. His role as Saxeja Ji in the comedy series is the best role he played on small screen till now. The show also features Aashif Sheikh, Rohitash Gaud, Saumya Tandon and Shilpa Shinde in pivot roles, and is based on the comedy sitcom of 1990s – Sreeman Srimati aired on DD metro. He has worked with the serial producer earlier for the show, FIR. When this project started, the producer felt that Saanand is apt for the role and that’s how Saanand bagged the role which altered his career graph in a positive way.

 

He has also played noted character roles in TV shows – Adaalat, CID, RK Laxman Ki Duniya, Tu mere Agal Bagal hai, Jugni Chali Jalandhar, Laapataganj etc. He is also a good singer and has appeared in  a few TV commercials such as Cello Chairs. He has faced many ups and downs throughout his life. He started working at the age of eight. The actor is very close to his mother and is the pillar of strength for him. He currently resides in Mumbai.
