Roop Durgapal Biography

Roop Durgapal is a television actress, and model best known for the roles – Balika Vadhu, C.I.D., Babosa Mere Bhagwan, Pari pari and Shama. Currently she plays the lead role in popular children’s series – Pari Pari.  She was nominated as "Most Tez Taraar Personality" in Colors Golden Petal Awards - 2013. She has also appeared in numerous television ads. She plays the role of Sanchi in the hugely popular show Balika Vadhu on TV Colors. She was paired with Shashank Vyas in this popular television series. Her role as Dari Dari Pari in Pari pari is equally popular. She is an engineering graduate from Dehradun and born and brought up in Almora.

She is an IT graduate and loved music before entering acting field. She loved to participate in reality singing shows as well. Though Indian dramas are known for saas-bahu series, this young actress is not interested in portraying typical bahus on mini screen. In a span of just one and a half years, she portrayed different types of roles on screen. She is a very fun loving and happy go lucky kind of girl and very ambitious too.

She completed Engineering for parents’ satisfaction and entered acting field to pursue her dreams.  She always wanted to see myself on screen and be famous and for the same reason she reached Mumbai. While auditioning for a particular commercial, she got an offer to appear in a Doordarshan serial, Shama. She played a cameo role in the serial. Later she did many commercial and print ads and landed into the supporting role of Balika Vadhu. There was no turning back after that.
