Rohit Bakshi Biography

Rohit Bakshi is a popular television actor who appears in Hindi soaps. He mostly portrays supporting roles and frequently appears in mythological shows. His role as Lord Shiva in Siya Ke Ram is one of his most popular shows right now. He has also played the double role of Brihaspati and Professor Jayant in the fantasy series - Maharakshak: Devi on ZEE Network. Kahiin To Hoga in 2003 where he played the role of Piyush Raheja was his first major break to acting career. He was most recently seen in one of the episodes of Darr Sabko Lagta Hai. He played a cameo role in 2013 Bollywood film - Dehraadun Diary as Anshul Sharma.

Rohit Bakshi grew up in West Delhi. But currently he stays in Mumbai. He is in a relationship with noted television actress, Aashka Goradia since 2011, and wedding plans are not yet in cards. Rohit work with Aashka Goradia in the TV series - Kahiin To Hoga. The couple had also entered in a business venture with Aashka’s sister, Jaanki Ravatia. He was also seen in Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Both these series helped Rohit to gain fame and recognition. Later he portrayed numerous character roles on mini screen.

In 2013, he made his Bollywood debut with the thriller film, Dehraadun Diary directed by Milind Ukey. He shared screen space with many young actors like Adhyayan Suman and Ragini Nandwani. Currently he plays the role of Lord Shiva in the mythological magnum opus Siya Ke Ram. Obviously comparison will be made with Mohit Raina who made an impressive mark in the same role earlier.

Born and brought up in Delhi, he did a few print ads in Delhi and later reached Mumbai to try his luck in modelling. Though he gave many auditions, nothing worked out. Though he was not interested in television shows, he did a few auditions, and finally played a cameo in Kutumb. It was followed by Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin Toh Hoga, Kahiin Kissi Roz and Kaisa Yeah Pyar Hai.
