Rhea Sharma Biography

Rhea Sharma is an Indian actress best known for her television roles in Hindi soaps. She marked her Bollywood debut with M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story in 2016, where she portrayed the character role of Ritu. As a television actress, she is best known for the show - Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji for which she was nominated at Boroplus Gold Awards for best female debut and also ITA Award for Best Actor – Female in 2016. She played the lead role of Kanak in this soap drama. Her role as Nisha Khanna in Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar is equally popular. She was also seen in 2016 show - Kahani Hamari... Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki, and most recently in an episodic role in Laal ishq on &TV.

Rhea Sharma was born on 17 November 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She pursued her career in modelling before she landed into the world of TV soaps. She became familiar to Indian audience through the various TV ads she was featured in. In 2014 she marked her small screen debut with Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, where she played the recurring lead role of Nisha Khanna. She made an impressive debut in television, and very soon bagged her first lead role through Kahani Hamari... Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki. She played the female lead role of Gauri Shivin Raichand in the show, and shared screen space with Karan Wahi and Nikhil Chaddha.

In the same year, she bagged her first film role through Bollywood blockbuster, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, a brief cameo role. She continued with her television roles. She looks up to veteran cine icon Rekha as a "strong role model". She has inspired a lot from this Bollywood star. In 2017, she bagged yet another lead role for the show, Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji. As of now, she played lead roles in all the three soaps in which she acted.
