Rahul Raj Singh is a producer and actor associated with Hindi soaps. He is the son of popular Hindi poet Prabha Thakur from Jamshedpur. A successful model, he also owns a production company. In 2015 he was seen as a participant in Sony TV's reality show 'Power Couple' with his girlfriend Pratyusha Banerjee. They were into a serious relationship and living together in her flat in Mumbai, when Pratyusha was found dead, hanging on the ceiling on April 1st, 2016. He was the first person to see her hanging in the ceiling. Though she was taken to the hospital with the help of a few neighbours, she was declared dead. No suicide note was found. Many still believe it be an ‘April Fool’ prank, as the incident is unbelievable! The actress catapulted to fame after her lead role in Balika Vadu.

Rahul Singh has acted in a few TV shows and has shown his face for the Bollywood film - Ajab Gajab Love in 2012, though his role went unnoticed. He acted in the television shows - Mata Ki Chowki, Amber Dhara, Ganesh Leela and Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein. Both Rahul Raj Singh and Pratyusha Banerjee belong to Jamshedpur and they first met at a common friend's birthday party. The lovely pair was living together in a two-bedroom flat in Mumbai. But as per sources the relationship was going sour for the last few months. She participated in the last season of celebrity show – Bigg Boss 2015 and the couple together appeared in the show - 'Power Couple' on Sony TV. They were planning to get married soon.

In January 2016, Pratyusha Banerjee approached the police alleging that four policemen barged into her flat at Kandivali and molested her. However, a police officer denied the allegation stating that the policemen went to place to trace Rahul Singh who stays with her, after a complaint has been lodged against both for manhandling a loan recovery agent.
