Priya Marathe Biography

Priya Marathe is a popular television actress associated with Hindi television industry. Her roles as Varsha in Pavitra Rishta and as Bhavani Rathod in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya made her a popular actress on small screen. She has earlier associated with Marathi shows before she joined Hindi television industry. Priya Marathe made her television debut with Marathi series, Ya Sukhano Ya, later appeared in shows like Char Divas Sasuche, before she bagged her first Hindi TV soap through Kasamh Se. She also played a negative role in Marathi series, Tu tithe Mi.

 

Priya Marathe hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra. Thane is her hometown. She was born on 23 April 1987. She is married to actor Shantanu Moghe, son of Marathi actor Shrikant Moghe since 2012. Priya and Shantanu have been childhood friends, and later they took their relationship to next level and got married. She loves to play badminton, and reading novels and travelling are her other hobbies. Hrithik Roshan is her favourite actor and Madhuri Dixit, her favourite actress.

 

She worked at a call centre as an executive for three months before she bagged her first television role. She marked her acting debut in the year 2008, with the Marathi show, Ya Sukhano Ya and the following year, she played her first Hindi television role through Kasamh Se. She made a brief appearance in the sequel of Ajay Devgan starrer Bollywood film, Dil Bacha Hai Ji. She also appeared in the reality show, Comedy Circus.

 

She mostly plays supporting roles in Hindi television. Some of her Hindi shows include - Swarajya rakshak Sambhaji, Ayushman Bhava, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Bhaage Re Mann, Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Uttaran, Pavitra Rishta etc.
