Parul Chauhan Biography

Parul Chauhan is a popular actress associated with Hindi TV shows. She has played both lead and supporting roles on small screen. As a TV actress, she is best known for playing the lead role of Ragini in the popular show, Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, aired on Star Plus during 2007 – 2010. It was her first TV shows. She played Swarna Goenka in 2016 series, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed and Rishton Se Badi Pratha are the TV shows in which she played female lead. She is a successful model too. She won Best Actress In Lead Role at Indian Telly Awards 2008 for the lead role she played in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai.

Parul Chauhan Thakkar hails from Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. She started her professional career playing the lead role of Ragini Ranvir Rajvansh in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai from 2007 to 2010. She was a contestant of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 in 2009. In 2010 she bagged her second lead role through Rishton Se Badi Pratha and portrayed Surbhi Abhay Suryavanshi. She also appeared in an episode in Savdhaan India. In 2013 she bagged her third lead role through Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, playing the protagonist Divya Raj Jakhotia. After that she appeared in two more shows - Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, both in supporting roles.

Currently she is a part of the show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai since 2016 and she portrays the role of Swarna Manish Goenka. Though she appeared in several serials since 2007, she is still known for her debut series, Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai. She also bagged some awards for her lead role in the series. She got married most recently in December 2018 to Chirag Thakkar.
