Paritosh Tripathi Biography

Paritosh Tripathi is a very popular TV anchor and actor associated with Hindi television. He is also a popular stand-up comedian who anchored several entertainment shows. In 2017 he anchored the latest season of singing talent hunt show on Sony TV, Indian Idol, alongside Karan Wahi. As a TV anchor he is best known for the show, Super Dancer season, aside Rithvik Dhanjani. He was nicknamed TRP Mama after this show. As a television actor he is best known for essaying the role of ‘Punnu Tiwari’ in Mahakumbh.

Parithosh hails from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Patakhauli Belwa from Bihar is his ancestral home. His father served as HOD of English Department in Kanya Bidhyalya Siwan. His mother too is into teaching field, who worked in government sector.  Paritosh graduated from Shivaji College Delhi in 2006. Since academic years, Paritosh was interested in mimicry and stage shows, and he formed a theatre group during his college days.

Reality show "Hasi Ka Tadka" in 2010 for Mahua TV marked his television debut, and since then he is fully active in this field. Apart from being known as a TV host and standup comedian, he has also played character roles in several popular TV shows.  Na bole tumne Maine kuch kaha, Lo Kar lo baat, Piya Rangrej and Mahakumbh are among his noted appearances. Happy hours, Indian idol 9 and Hasi ka Tadka are his most successful shows as a TV host and anchor. However his role as TRP Mama in Super Dancer season, a reality show with Ritwik Dhajani earned him the real recognition he was seeking for.

He has acted and directed a few plays, and has won an award for his directorial venture, "Bade Bhai Sahab" written by Munshi Prem Chand. He has also appeared in a few Bhojpuri movies, and won best comedian award for Yodha.
