Mrinal Dev Kulkarni Biography 
Mrinal Dev Kulkarni is a very popular actress on small screen who has played a few roles on big screen. She has done several memorable roles for Marathi cinema. She gained popularity for the first time, by appearing in Doordarshan ad of Vicco Laboratories, in the role of a bride. As a television actress, she is best known for her role as a fairy in the children fantasy series – Son Pari aired on STAR PLUS during the period 2001-2004. Earlier she has appeared in several serials in title role including the Doordarshan series – Meerabai in 1996. She is married to Ruchir Kulkarni.
She was born in Pune in the year 1971 as the daughter of famous writer - Gopal Nilkanth Dandekar. She completed Master's degree in Linguistics from Pune University. She started her small screen journey in the mid-1980s during her teens. She made her acting debut through Marathi serial Swami, at the age of only 16, playing the role of Peshawe Madhavrao's wife Ramabai Peshawe. She was paired with Ravindra Mankani who portrayed Peshawe Madhavrao on screen. She was interested in continuing her studies and wished to attain doctorate in philosophy. However she received more offers from the industry, she approached the career seriously.
Since 1994, she became a regular actor and appeared on both small screen and big screen. She did numerous Marathi movies. The Great Maratha, Draupadi, Hasratein; Meerabai, Teacher, Khel, Sparsh and Sonpari are some of her popular television roles. After playing lead roles, now she has moved to character roles, yet known in small screen for her screen presence. She has played several historic and powerful women onscreen - Draupadi , Ahilya Bai Holkar, Ramabai and Jijabai among those.
