Mridula Warrier Biography 
Mridula Warrier is a Malayalam playback singer who came to limelight after her success in Idea Star Singer in 2010, where she was the first runner-up. With the recent chartbuster songs of Kalimannu, directed by Blessy, she became a popular singer of Malayalam. The song Laali laali earned her instant stardom and best female playback singer at different film awards like Asianet Film awards, Nana Film Awards 2013 and Vanitha film awards for the year 2013. She also received CERA BIG Malayalam Music Awards for best promising singer for the movies, Kalimannu and Vishudhan.
The song Lali lali created great waves among Malayalam listeners and it crossed 5 lakh hits in the first day of its music release on you tube. Actually her voice was recorded as a track singer to be listened by Shreya Ghosal to sing it later. But the music director kept her voice and the rest is just history! Onnam Ragam of Amrita TV was the first reality show in which she participated. She finished third. It was Idea Star Singer that gave her the solid platform to move forward. The first offer came from director Kamal who offered her a song for 2007 movie Goal. She also acted in that song.
She was born in Kozhikode on 3 May 1987 to P.V. Ramankutty Warrier and M.T. Vijayalakshmy. She started learning Carnatic music at the age of 4. Later alongside her brother, she participated in several music contests. Her parents too are good singers. She completed B. Tech from K.M.C.T College of Engineering, Kozhikode. She married Dr. Arun B. Warrier most recently on 7 January 2013. While studying in 9th standard, she participated in Baburaj memorial award singing contest when it was attended by K. J. Yesudas and S. Janaki. A tie occurred between her and Sitara (now a successful playback singer) and Yesudas appreciated her voice very much. It was an encouraging fact to her. She is also inspired a lot by Lata Mangeshkar.
