Harini Ramachandran, popularly known as Megha is a popular Tamil playback singer. She works for other south Indian languages as well. Megha is a great granddaughter of Papanasam Sivan, famous Carnatic composer. She was introduced into the film industry by music directors Vijay Antony and Imman in 2007 and later she sung for most popular music directors including A. R. Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, Ilaiyaraaja, Devi Sri Prasad and D. Imman. She also performs in many music concerts and has been associated with Madras Music Association choir. She has sung musical hits for many Tamil movies like Singham, Kavalan, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Aadhavan and Ayyan. Her hit songs are included in Telugu movies like Dookkudu, Arya 2, Ye Maaya Chesave and Julayi.

She was born in Chennai on March 18, 1987 and later relocated to Bangalore. Her schooling was done there. Later she became a graduate in Commerce in Chennai and pursued her Masters in Human Resources. It was during this time when she entered playback singing. She also completed Grade 8 from Trinity College London in Western classical music. It was just a co-incidence that she was introduced to violin classes when she reached Chennai for the second time for college studies. She learnt violin from Sadanandam, Ilayaraja's lead guitarist right from his very first film.

She started with jingles and harmonies. The first music director she ever sang for was D. Imman. But it was Vijay Antony’s songs in 2007 - "KakhaKakha" and "Nee Kavidhai” in Naan Avanillai which were released first. It was followed by a couple of songs by same director the same year. The movie was Kadhalil Vizhunthen. Later she got opportunity to sing with all leading music directors of the industry.
