Manava Naik Biography

Manava Naik is a successful television actress, best known for portraying the character of Dimple Thakkar in the popular drama series on Star Plus, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. Her character of Manjeet in the television daily Teen Bahuraniyaa also earned praises. She played the character role of Neelakshi in Hrithik Roshan- Aishwarya Rai starrer Jodhaa Akbar in 2008. She has also appeared in a few Bollywood and Marathi movies. Shahanpan Dega Deva, Dum Asel Tar, Kaksparsh, No Entry Pudhe Dhoka Aahey, Jeta, Fakta Ladh Mhana and Kshanbhar Vishranti are some of her Marathi movies. She has also acted in the play, Hamidabaichi Kothi. Currently she plays the female protagonist in her first Marathi serial, Tujha Majha Jamena since 2013. The show is aired on ZEE Marathi and her character name is Manava.

Naik has been associated with theatre since her school days. Both her parents were associated with theatre. Her father is a writer and her mother is a stage actress. She continued her association with stage plays during her college days as well. She completed Film and Arts course from New York University before entering into entertainment world. Special Squad was her first television serial. She went to a television channel's office for being an accompanist there. She was asked to give an audition and she got selected. She played a western detective in Special Squad.

Manava has always experimented with her roles she played on screen. She played a western detective in Special Squad while a girl from a conservative Gujarati family in Baa, Bahu Aur Baby. She played an outgoing Punjabi bahu in Teen Bahuraniyaa. She is inspired by Naseeruddin Shah's performances on screen and stage. She likes to do something different.
