Lalit Prabhakar Biography

Lalit Prabhakar is a prominent actor of Marathi entertainment industry, associated with theater and television. Currently he is seen in the popular youth oriented series on Zee Marathi - Dil Dosti Duniyadari, where he plays the role of Kabir, a director. He is the latest entry to the show. The daily soap Julun Yeti Reshimgathi earned him recognition and fame as an actor and he played the lead role in the show, aired during 2013-2015 period. Prajakta Mali played the female lead in the show, well received by home viewers. Lalit is also associated with experimental plays right now and the latest one is – Aswast Samudravar bail Melai.

 

He is a Maharashtrian born on September 12, 1987 in Kalyan Mumbai. Both his parents are teachers and he completed graduation in computer science. Basically a theatre artist, he has been associated with several drama troupes before his foray to television. He joined theatre group "Mitee-Chaar Kalyan" in the teens. He was featured in Avinash Narkar’s play ‘Takshakyag’, and also played the antagonist, Lakhnya, in Gandh Phulanch Gela Sangun before his television debut. But it was the show Julun Yeti Reshimgathi which stole audience’s heart.

 

He won best actor award at Zee Marathi Television Awards in 2014. His chemistry with co-star Prajakta Mali was also well received. Jeevalaga, Aabhas Ha, Kunku and Gandh Phulancha Gela Sangun are some of the shows he did earlier. Though he has become part of many television shows and done romantic roles, this actor doesn’t believe in love marriages and he is an atheist too. He loves reading books and writing poems. Music and sketching are also his favorites. This talented actor has directed one stage play, Invisible Cities, in which he played lead role.
