Kavita K. Barjatya is a film and television producer and a member of the prestigious Barjatya family. She is the granddaughter of Tarachand Barjatya, the famous film producer of Bollywood better known as the founder of Rajshri Productions, one of the leading production houses, known for making multi-star cast family dramas, established on the dawn of Indian Independence - 1947. She started her association with Rajshri Productions, by assisting her cousin Sooraj R. Barjatya for the movie - Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. With the advice of her cousin Sooraj, she exit Rajshri Film Productions and launched the Rajshri Television Division, under which Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Do Hanson Ka Jodaa and a few more television soaps were released. She marked her debut with film making industry with Samrat & Co., released in 2014.

Kavita Barjatya was born on 12 November 1977 in Mumbai as the daughter of Kamal Kumar Barjatya and Usha Kamal Kumar Barjatya. Raj Kumar Barjatya and Ajit Kumar Barjatya are her uncles. Rajat A. Barjatya and Sooraj R. Barjatya are her cousins. All these people were associated with Rajshri Productions, started by her paternal grandfather Tarachand Barjatya. She is a trained vocal singer and Kathak dancer, and also plays various instruments. After studies, she joined Rajshri Productions, by assisting her cousin Sooraj R. Barjatya in 2003.

But very soon, she started her independent production venture for television - Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki on Sahara TV, aired on 30 May 2005 for the first time. Pyaar Ke Do Naam: Ek Raadha, Ek Shyaam, Main Teri Parchhain Hoon, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga and Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara are her television productions under the banner - the Rajshri Television Division, that has now completed a decade. She had a brief marriage that ended in a divorce.
