Kanchi Kaul Biography

Kanchi Kaul is a popular television actress associated with Hindi entertainment industry. She shot to fame playing the lead role of Ananya Sachdev in the romantic series, Ek Ladki Anjaani Si opposite Shakti Anand. Her parallel role as Shraddha Kunal Shrivastav in 2013 series, Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi… Meri Bhabhi was also well appreciated. She is married to popular TV actor Shabbir Ahluwalia and the couple has two sons. They got married in 2011. Their first son was born in 2014, and the second son born most recently in 2016.

This attractive and charming young actress of small screen belongs to Sri Nagar, Kashmir. She was born on May 24, 1982. She got noticed for playing the role of ambitious Anu in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. The series made her a household name. Since then she is regular with TV roles. The show was aired for the first time in 2005 and the final episode in 2007. She played the parallel roles of Soni Khurana in Maayka and Shraddha Shergill in Ek Nanad Ki Khushiyon Ki Chaabi...Meri Bhabhi also. She made her film debut with 2004 film - Woh Tera Naam Tha. She played the female lead in the film which was a major flop at box office. The film directed by Sandesh Kohli received bad reviews from critics also. The movie also starred Arjun Bawja, Gaurav Chanana and Amrish Puri.

Later she concentrated on to her television career. She essayed the lead role of Shraddha in the TV serial ‘Meri Bhabhi’ where she played the role of a divorcee who wants to establish herself. She received a nomination for best actress in lead role at Indian Telly Award, and also for Best Fresh New Face (female). She is a trained Scuba Diver who loves adventurous sports.
