Giaa Manek is a star actress of small screen who shot to fame after essaying   essayed the role of Gopi bahu in the daily soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya. She is from Gujarat though works in Hindi serials. She also participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa, after taking a break from the show. She was also seen in the show Jeannie Aur Juju. She received Kalakar Best Actress award for Jeannie Aur Juju in 2015, a few days after she quit the show.

Giaa is associated with television for more than 5 years before she took a small break. She took a break to be with her family and take care of her health. She angered a lot of biggies in tele-ville when she quit the show to join Colors’ Jhalak Dikkla Jaa. TRP did dip soon after she quit the show, Saath Nibhana Saathiya. But the replacement was made by an actress, who suits the looks and mannerisms of Gopi on screen. Giaa is now in talk with producers and will be back with some show. She was seen in a special role in an episode of Na Bole Tum…Na Maine Kuch Kaha.

Manek was born on 18 February 1986 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She was brought up in Mumbai. She loved to become an actress and attended an audition for the movie, 'Na Ghar Ke Na Ghat Ke', which she got. Thus she got an opportunity to work with Om Puri, Neena Gupta and Paresh Rawal. She got her assignment for a TV ad, for which she got 25,000 rupees as salary.
