Gaurav Nanda Biography

Gaurav Nanda is a noted television actor and model who has appeared in a few Bollywood movies as well. He is a professional theatre actor too. He is the founder of the theatre company Actor Studio India and specializes in method acting and some theatre techniques. As a television actor, he is best known for Bandini, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi. As a theater artist, he has 8 years of professional experience before entering small screen and Bollywood.

He belongs to Delhi. He completed telecommunication engineering at BMSCE Bangalore. While studying first year at Bangalore he got selected to All India talent hunt of MTV and thus got opportunity to work in Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi for Balaji Telefilms. He was one among the selected 6, when more than a thousand people auditioned for the role at Bangalore. He was active in theater at college days and was learning method acting in those days. After completion of his engineering course in Bangalore he moved to Mumbai to pursue his dreams as an actor. He has also attended several acting workshops to polish his acting skills.

After reaching Mumbai, he did an acting course at Whistling Woods International under the veteran actor of Bollywood, Naseeruddin Shah. In 2008, he appeared in Bollywood movie Sorry Bhai. Heroine, Break ke baad and Aisha are other popular Bollywood appearances. Motives, Maal Road Dilli and The Orphan:New Kind Of Hero are his upcoming movies, of which last two are Hollywood projects. Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki (2008) was his debut Television serial. Currently he plays the role of Ashfaqulla Khan in Mujahid-e-Azadi Ashfaqulla Khan.
