Diana Silvester Biography 
Diana Silvester is a well-known and successful producer and director associated with Malayalam television industry. Diana Silvester currently serves as assistant Vice President of Asianet, leading television network of Kerala. As a producer, her TV shows – Cinimala, based on movies, and Badai Banglav, a celebrity chat show and entertainer became instant hits. Both the shows were telecasted for many years, and are among the most viewed Malayalam shows, other than serials and soaps.
She is mostly associated with shows based on humour and comedy and owns 25-year long career as a Television producer. Cinimala completed 20 years and 1000 episodes. The show has bagged many awards including the prestigious Limca Book of Records as the ‘longest running weekly programme in India’. Through different shows, she is a recipient of more than 250 awards and also owns the world record of the woman producer-director with highest number of shows across the globe. Apart from TV shows, she has also directed documentaries of which ‘Charakathayile Jeevikkunna Raktasakshikal’ won many National and international accolades. Other documentaries include – Mirza Ghalib, K. R. Narayan, Mehboob etc.
She completed her media communication course from US before joining Kerala television network 20 years back. When she reached Kerala after studies, private channels were not available. After studies she wanted to settle in Kerala itself. Later she attended the job interview of Asianet, and got selected. She was asked to join the office at Chennai. She joined Asianet as Associate producer and now serves as Vice President of Asianet. Currently she directs the show, Badai Banglav. Many celebrities of today such as Dileep, Salim Kumar, Ramesh Pisharadi, Dharmajan and Tini Tom have been featured in Cinimala, and they later became immensely popular.
