Charutha Baiju Biography

Charutha Baiju is a noted television actress of Malayalam, who shot to fame with the popular series – Chandana mazha on Asianet, where she portrayed Anjali. This talented young actress hails from Thripunithara of Ernakulam district. She has also appeared in a few films. In 2008 she marked her big screen debut with the Tamil film - "Dhandayuthapani", directed by Saravana Sakthi where she played hero’s sister role. She is known for her dancing skills and has also successfully anchored a few shows for Malayalam television. She is associated with entertainment industry since younger days as a child artist and has appeared in albums and TV ads.

She was born to Bhaiju and Sreelatha Bhaiju in Thripunithara of Ernakulam district. Her parents are into a business and she has one younger sister Chandana Baiju, who is currently studying. She is trained in different classical dance forms since school days. She has received prizes at district and state level for school competitions of Folk dance, Bharatanatiyam, Mohiniyattam, Mono Act, Ottan Thullal etc. She has also learnt classical music. She started her association with television since younger days.

A noted anchor, she hosted Miniscreen Maharani Contest telecasted in Surya TV. She has successfully anchored 'Tharolsavam' – a reality show by Kairali TV, apart from several musical shows on television. She was once awarded the Best Anchor Award. She has also participated in a cookery show as a contestant in Kairali TV. She started her career as a model at the age of 6 for an ad – Veega Land. 2008 Tamil film "Dhandayuthapani" marked her film debut. 'Achante Makkal', directed by Sachin K Ibaque marked her television debut. She portrayed the character of 'Vyga' in this series. Later she acted in "Pattusari", “Chandana mazha” etc.
