Bhavana Balakrishnan is a successful TV anchor associated with Tamil entertainment industry. She isassociated with Star Vijay Television. Apart from being a successful TV anchor and VJ, she is also a voiceover artist and playback singer. Bhavana begin her career as Radio Jockey before she moved to smallscreen. She is the recipient of Best Anchor award in Vijay Television Awards 2015. She also won GlobusStyle Awards 2013 as ‘Stylish Anchor’.

Bhavana Balakrishnan, shortly called Bhavana hails from Chennai. She is a trained classical dancer. She istrained in Bharathanatiyam since her early childhood. She holds an MBA degree from Chennai and alsoworked in media field for a while before she moved to radio and television. She is married to NikhilRamesh, who is into business. Bhavana started her professional career as Radio Jockey in Chennai Live –104.8 FM. Later she joined Raj TV as a Video jockey. She hosted Beach Girls show along with AnchorKalyani. She worked in Raj TV for a while before she moved to Vijay TV, which gave her huge success andpopularity.

Now she is a very familiar face on small screen and has anchored several successful reality shows. Shealso hosts corporate shows and audio launch events of new Tamil releases. She is hosting the singingreality show, ‘Super Singer’ and ‘Super Singer Junior’ since 2011. She anchors the show aside Ma Ka PaAnand and Priyanka Deshpande. She also hosts Television award shows. Apart from known as aprofessional dancer and singer, she is also a columnist.

After Dhivyadharshini and Ramya, Bhavana is themost successful female anchor of Tamil entertainment industry.After marriage she shuttles between Mumbai and Chennai. Her husband is doing business in Mumbai.But her husband never watches her shows. Yet he supports her and put forward his suggestions. Theirsis an arranged marriage.
