Balabhaskar Biography 
Balabhaskar is a music composer from Kerala known for fusion songs and musical albums. The credits of first successful private albums of course go to Balabhaskar who gave significant contributions to Malayalam private albums since late 1990’s. He was the musician who popularized Malayalam music albums and videos through his unique fusion style of compositions. He is a trained Carnatic vocalist and violinist who performs live in stage shows. His albums Ninakaai and Aadyamai are still regarded as the most popular private albums of Malayalam till now. The popular track, ‘En nenjile kanal pookkalil’ marked a new era of Malayalam private songs. Both his songs and lyrics done by East Coast Vijayan played significant roles in the success of its tracks.
Bhaskar was born on 10th July, 1978 in Thiruvananthapuram. He started his stage performance at the age of 12 and became the youngest Malayalam composer who composed music for Malayalam movie Mangalya Pallak at the age of 17. Later he became one of the youngest popular Carnatic vocalists from Kerala and he has performed live with many leading names like - Ustad Zakhir Hussain, Sivamani and Hariharan.
He is the recipient of the Bismillah Khan Yuva Sangeetkaar Puraskaar in 2008 by Kendra Sangeet Natak Academy (for Instrumental Music in Violin). Balabhaskar debut instrumental fusion album with ‘Let it B’ in 2011 which features many great names like Sivamani, Louiz Banks and Fazal Qureshi. This album includes - flavors of rock, jazz, hip-hop and techo music with Indian violin. He has also done a few jingles and has given music to television serial title tracks. In 2010, he composed the music of Malayalam movie, Paatinte paalazhi which became popular.
His songs are always sung by leading playback singers of Malayalam. Ninakkai – released in 1998 include popular romantic songs like Aaranu neeyenikkomale sung by Venu Gopal, Ninakkai thozhi sung by Biju Narayan and Anuraaga pookkalal by Sangeetha. Other songs are Enna karuppinenthazhaku and Pathira kaattu veesi.
