Archana Suseelan Biography

Archana Suseelan is a very popular and familiar face of Malayalam entertainment industry, best known for her association with television. She is an actress and VJ, and has done a few side roles in movies. She marked her debut as a Video Jockey through the newly started Malayalam music channel Kiran TV in 2005, where she hosted the show ‘Post Box’ aside VJ Nash in the evenings. She got noticed for her ‘Manglish’ dialect, and very soon she bagged more offers. She later moved to TV serial roles, and rose to the league of well-known and successful actresses through the shows such as Ente Manasaputhri and Karuthamuthu. She played antagonist Mereena, in Karuthamuthu, one of the most popular shows in the recent past. She also contested in the first season of Bigg Boss hosted by Mohanlal on Asianet in 2018.

Archana Suseelan was born in Pune, Maharashtra to Suseelan and Seema. Her father is a Malayali and her mother is a Nepali. Her father is a retired Deputy Commandant of Police. She has one brother and one sister. Her brother Rohit Suseelan is married to Malayalam actress Arya Rohit. In 2014, Archana got married to her long-term boyfriend, Manoj Yadav. She started her professional career as a VJ through Kiran TV in 2005, and later accepted acting roles, both from movies and serials. She also contested in a few reality shows on television, and she gained immense popularity through Malayalam version of Bigg Boss on Asianet in 2018, where she got evicted on day 91.

As a film actress she was first seen in Kanakkinavu in 2006. Since then she has played many supporting roles including Kaaryasthan, Mallu Singh etc. She has also done a few Tamil and Hindi films. Archana failed to get success from movies, and she concentrated on to her television career. After hosting a few TV shows, she was later seen playing noted roles in TV shows (Malayalam and Tamil) such as Ente Manasaputhri, Punarjanmam, Durga, Karuthamuthu etc.
