Anurag Sharma is a popular actor associated with Hindi soaps. He is well known for his role as Satish in the serial Pavitra Rishta. He has also played the role of Maharana Pratap in Balaji's Jodha Akbar. He was also seen in episodic shows of Adaalat, Hum Ne Li Hai... Shapath and Yeh Hai Aashiqui. He marked his small screen debut with the serial Pavitra Rishta, and currently appears in Kumkum Bhagya since 2014. Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, Ye Hai Mohabbatein, Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, Kavach...Kaali Shaktiyon Se etc are other shows in which he was seen.

Anurag Sharma pursued his dreams to become an actor, and joined Hindi television industry in the year 2009. His supporting role as Satish Deshpande was well appreciated and still now he is recognized for this role. The show was aired on ZEE TV. The show had Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande playing the lead roles. Anurag mostly played supporting roles on screen, and also episodic shows through which he earned recognition a lot.

His second show was Tere Liye in 2010, and he played the role of Sushant in this family drama. The show was aired on Star Plus. It was followed by two shows on Sony Television network, Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka (2012), followed by an episodic role in investigation thriller, Adaalat. The actor was in a relationship with a girl from business sector, and not from television media. They met each other through a common friend, after knowing each other for 6 months, they were committed to each other. But his current status is single.
