Aniruddh Singh Biography

Aniruddh Singh is a noted television actor and model, who plays supporting roles in Hindi television soaps. He currently plays the role of Dr. Anurag Arora in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors TV. Made his television debut with Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyaar as Daksh Tripathi on Sony TV, he was later seen in Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya as Adarsh Saxena and Saraswatichandra as Sunny, apart from his negative role as Tamas- a scientist in Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath.

Aniruddh Singh belongs to a Sikh family. Before his entry to television, he did a hotel management course at Ooty. Then he worked for a short while at an Asian restaurant in Switzerland. Later he worked in a restaurant in Britain before he moved back to India and reached Mumbai with his dreams to become an actor. He was asked by his parents to complete education first before pursuing a career in acting and he agreed to their advice knowing the risk factor in choosing acting as career.

He made his television debut with Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyaar as Daksh Tripathi on Sony TV. The show aired in 2011, starred Shambhavi Sharma, Neha Janpandit, Anjali Abrol, Manish Tulsiyani, Kiran Kumar etc in pivot roles. Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya was his first noticed role, where he played Pratigya’s brother. His role as Sunny, Gautam Rode’s close friend in Sanjay Leela Bansali’s debut television series, Saraswatichandra and the role as Dr Anurag Arora, a passionate and hard-working doctor, in Sasural Simar Ka were among his noted roles later.

He briefly played a super villain in the Life OK’s popular series, Hum Ne Li Ha- Shapath. Other popular actors who were signed for the role of super villain includes noted model cum actress, Payal Rohatgi. Singh essayed the character of Tamas - a scientist who brings darkness in the life of people.
