Aneesh Ravi Biography

Aneesh Ravi is a popular actor, anchor and theatre artist associated with Malayalam entertainment industry. Star anchor of Malayalam small screen, he has hosted many successful TV shows such as Star War, along with Anu Joseph. He won Kerala state television award for Best Anchor for the cookery show, Cucuber City aired on Media One. He is indeed popular as a host of cookery shows, apart from reality shows, game shows and talk shows. He is also a recipient of Kerala State Television Awards for best actor in 2005 for his work in Sreenarayana Guru. Mohanakrishnan of Karyam Nissaram is his most popular serial on small screen. He portrays this role for more than 6 years as of now. He also appeared in small roles in Malayalam movies.

Aneesh Ravi, also known as Aneesh Chirayinkeezhu was associated with amateur plays and mimicry during his first phase of professional career. He won the first prize in mimicry during the Kerala University Youth Festival in 1994. He holds a diploma in media and journalism apart from MA in Malayalam literature. Aneesh Ravi started his career as a theatre artist in Raghu’s Natakayogam. The one-man play, ‘Choonda’ is one among his best works. ‘Ravanaprabhu’, ‘Overbridge’, and ‘Soothaputhran’ are other popular plays.

‘Snehatheeram’ serial aired on Doordarshan marked his television debut. ‘Mohanam’, ‘Sthree’, Minnukettu’, ‘Alippazham’ and ‘Manasariyathe’ are among his popular Malayalam serials. He also worked in Tamil serials such as Meghala and Santhinilayam. Among all his roles, his role as village officer Mohanakrishnan of Karyam Nissaram made him a household name among serial viewing audiences.

He is indeed very active and popular in small screen through a series of reality and cookery shows. In 2016 he has also entered the field of production of television serials, through Moonu Pennungal under the banner Varadayini creations. He is associated with Surya TV, Flowers, Colors and Kairali TV for his TV shows.
