Amrita Mukherjee is a child artist of Indian small screen, who shot to fame after playing Pihu in the most popular series on Sony Television - Bade Acche Lagte Hain. This single role has earned her numerous awards at various award functions. She has also appeared in the comedy shows - Comedy Circus Ke Mahabali (2013) and Comedy Nights with Kapil (2014). She belongs to Kolkata. She has also appeared in numerous popular ads on Indian television. Now though she is flooded with TV roles and ads, her parents have decided to give preference to her studies. Bade Acche Lagte Hain – is the only television series in which Amrita has acted.

Amrita Mukherjee was born on 28 November 2006 in West Bengal. Amit Mukherjee and Mrinmoyee Mukherjee are her parents. She currently studies at Mumbai and is a celebrity at school. Her mother supports her a lot to keep a balance between her studies and work. A popular actress of small screen, she is equally popular in the ad-world also. She made her acting debut through Bade Acche Lagte Hain, aired on Sony TV. She is currently learning south Indian classical dance form – Bharatnatyam and she is also interested in painting and read fairy tales book. Though the shooting is hectic and lasts for 5 days a week, her mother manages everything and ensures that young Amrita doesn't get stressed.

Amrita played the character of Pihu Kapoor, the daughter of Ram and Priya Kapoor in Bade Acche Lagte Hain. She is fondly called Pihu by her fans. She appeared in the popular ‘Oreo’ ad. In 2012, she won Most Promising Child Star and Most Popular Child Artiste – Female at Indian Television Academy Awards. She is also a winner of Lion Gold Awards and Boroplus Gold Awards.
