Amol Kolhe Biography

Dr. Amol Kolhe is an actor turned politician from Maharashtra. He belongs to Shiv Sena and currently serves as Sampark Pramukh of Pune. A Star Campaigner of Shiv Sena in 2014 Maharashtra Assembly Elections, his fiery speeches have always helped him to remain in limelight. He also serves as Deputy Leader and Spokesperson of Shiv Sena since 2014. As a television actor, he is best known for portraying Maratha rulers for many historic serials of Marathi television world. He is indeed popular playing the role of great Maratha warrior and ruler – Shivaji. He also acted in Marathi films - Aaghat, Rajmata Jijau, Saheb, Sattadhish, Raja Shivchatrapati and many more. "Raj Mata Jijau" in 2011 was his debut feature film.

He was born on 18th October, 1980. He has one elder brother. He is married to Dr. Ashwini Kolhe and has a daughter, Aatya Kolhe. As a television actor he gained popularity playing the protagonist and titular role in Chhatrapati Shivaji in Star Pravah. Veer Shivaji which was aired on Colors channel is another popular work for television. He is also associated with Marathi cinema and theater. He acted in the Marathi stage play, Shivputra Shambhuraje. Known for his versatility in acting and serious roles, he excelled in historic characters, most notably Sivaji and other Maratha kings. He is a top choice of serial producers for handling serious roles on mini screen.

Most recently joined state politics his speeches made him an influential young leader of Shiv Sena. His convincing and motivating speeches are electrifying too. He had passion of gym, bikes and horse riding since his college days. He completed his high school studies in Pune. He completed MBBS from GAS College, Mumbai. He worked in KEM hospital after his studies. Since college days he was associated with acting.
