Dilip Sankarreddy Biography

Dilip Sankarreddy is an Indian author who writes in English. He is also a politician, business professional, social worker and environmentalist. He is a recipient of World Bank India Development Marketplace Award in 2007. He is also a young politician associated with Lok Satta Party who contested for state assembly elections from the Malkajgiri Assembly constituency of Hyderabad though he couldn’t make it. He is a member of the National Council of the Lok Satta Party. In 2012, Dilip quit his professional job in the U.S to dedicate his life for social causes. He has authored two poetry collections, Song of a Bard and Other Poems (2005) and Wanderings with Poetry (2007).

 

He belongs to Andhra Pradesh. He completed B Tech in Computer Science from PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore and MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business. Later he got associated with business world. He founded EterLive LLC, an Internet startup in 2009. He has been associated with issues related to urban development since 2004. As an environmentalist he has attended several international conferences and forums. He has also served as the Vice President of organizations like Save Bombay Committee and Prakruti.

 

As a professional he has been associated with IT, telecommunication, corporate finance, global sales and marketing, education and many other sectors. In 2012, Dilip quit his professional job in the U.S. same year he started HyCity.in, the Internet-based citizen-driven governance observatory for the city of Hyderabad. In 2013, he started the Voter India initiative to improve the voter lists. He is fascinated about business innovation and regularly follows up articles related to it. He occasionally writes poetry too.
