Jiah Khan was not a talented actress who has been in news always. But since she is dead, it became the biggest sensational news. Why it happened so? She is just a new comer who has acted in just 3 movies till now – Nishabd, House full and Gajani. Though she played the leading role in just her debut movie, Nishabd it failed at box office. She was never a news maker too – except her controversial role as love interest of Big B in debut movie and bikini scene in Houseful. Then why media drew so much attention to her death once she passed away? Why we common Bollywood lovers are also feeling sad with her demise even if she has not given big contributions to Bollywood? Is it because she is so young? Is it because we people are feeling sympathy towards her?

I read in many newspapers and web pages – though she spent almost 6-7 years in Bollywood, she got only 3 movies. Despite being a successful part of Aamir’s Gajani and Akshay Kumar’s Houseful, both these movies didn’t contribute much to her acting career. She didn’t get any offers after Houseful, though its sequels were released and about 3 years have passed. I also read that she lost many of her promised roles too. In the movie ‘Dance pe chance’ opposite Shahid Kapoor, though she has shot some scenes she was unfortunately replaced by Genelia. Even news spread that someone is desperately trying not to give opportunities to this young lady. So, in depression she committed suicide. I think, when this news spread out, Bollywood witnessed the best shock in the recent times. It may be because, many celebrities might have thought to themselves, “Have I indirectly become the cause of the death of this heroine at a younger age? How many times, has she asked for a role!” I am 100% sure, it’s reason why Bollywood people felt shocked over her death. Many critics even blamed that short cuts and her depression for not getting work in Bollywood prompted her to take this bitter step.

But the whole rumours have taken a sudden twist as her suicide note has been obtained. From the suicide note, it’s clear that she has been physically and mentally tortured by her boy friend – Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab. Recent news is that Sooraj has been arrested for abetting her for a suicide. The news now appear really shocking to me. From the suicide note, though Suraj’s name is not given anywhere it’s crystal clear that he used to physically abuse her and has been avoiding her for the past few months. He has even made her abort their child, though she was not willing.  

I am deeply hurt with this news. For the most disloyal lover of this world, this innocent girl lost her life. Bollywood is a world of fantasies and it’s very difficult to find sincere relationships. Jiah Khan has been an exception who loved someone sincerely and couldn’t withstand her lover’s betrayal. She dreamt of a life with a man whom she loved sincerely. She gave her life instead! But this news has given me another reason to respect this young lady – a tiny angel in the fantasy disloyal world of celluloid who searched for someone who is sincerely in love with.
