Our kids are not safe

Children are using internet for different purposes including video games, school projects chatting with friends and social networking sites. They are as much addicted to internet use as adults are using internet. The problem begins when they use it for wrong reasons as they are trapped to watch porn sites through chatting sites in the name of watching interesting videos.

Porn is available on a click

There are so many sites available with more than 50% live video streams containing nudity and graphic contents. Unsuspecting parents are not aware of activities of children at such tender age and the limit is that even filters are also unable to block such content. The reason behind such content becoming popular among children is their curiosity, which prompts children to explore through every thing including live chat using a webcam. 

It is easy to watch but they become victims of sexual abuse

The agency that protects children from such sites (child protection and online protection center) says that children while surfing internet open such windows by clicking links popping up and prompting to click on them, while children do it out of curiosity they find whole lot of windows opening with objectionable content but children finding them different keep watching these.

Most children become addicted to these sites, which affect the behavior of children and at the same time, they become victims of sexual abuse. The role of parents is very important in keeping a strict vigil on their children to keep them away from such victimization; parents need to be more alert than children are because they watch such content unknowingly in the beginning.

There are other reasons

Actually, celebrities are playing a major role in popularization of such chatting sites with their contribution. Although to enter into these sites one needs to be of at least 18 years of age but children make their account with fake data to chat with personalities like Paris Hilton and Lily Allen who use sites like Omegle –  talk to strangers, Streamberry random chat and Chatrandom.com etc.

How they hook children

Actually the offenders use sites where children frequent mostly and with pop ups taking children to porn sites out of curiosity in the beginning later they become addicted to these site. However, one thing is for sure that children addicted to such sites lose their faith in relations and take a long therapy to come back to normal behavior. Therefore, we need to be very careful about what our children do while surfing the web.
