Now it’s the time of star kids in Bollywood. The kids of big stars on big screen during 70’s and 80’s have proved as successful as their parents – Hritik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karishma Kapoor, Shreddha Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Sinha etc. Yet in this wonder land of flashing cameras a few star kids lost their way somewhere. A few failed completely while a few others were able to become popular, though couldn’t repeat the success of their star parent. Let me point the names of a few such star kids who failed in Bollywood.

Esha Deol: The first name that comes to my mind is Esha Deol – the daughter of the hottest and successful couple ever made in Bollywood. The record of maximum Bollywood movies as pairs goes to none other than Dream girl – Dharam pair. But their daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol couldn’t repeat the success. Though there were speculations that Ahana too will step into her sister’s shoes, it didn’t happen. Despite being starring with top stars like Hritik Roshan, she failed at box office and later left the field. A few films of Esha include Koi mujhse pooche, Kya dil ne kaha and Na tum jaano na hum.

Pratibha Sinha: She is the daughter of successful actress of yesterdays – Mala Sinha. Though she has done a few movies like Gudgudi, Kal ki awaaz and Dil hai betaab, people love to remember her only for ‘Pardesi pardesi jaana nahi’ song only. We saw her dancing in this beautiful folk number.

Puru raaj kumar: He is the son of the man with strong voice of yesterdays – Raj Kumar. He debuted with Bal Brahmachari in 1996 opposite Karishma Kapoor. But the movie flopped. Only noticeable movie in his career is ‘Hamara dil aapke paas hai’ where he did the negative role.

Rajiv Kapoor: He is the star son of showman of Bollywood – Raj Kapoor. Despite coming from a grand art family related to movies and support from his father, he couldn’t make it big. Only the controversial movie - Ram tere ganga maili is in his name.

Kumar Gaurav: Same is the case of son of Jubilee Kumar ‘Rajendra Kumar’ too. He too entered films in 80’s, but failed to make an impact though his first movie ‘Love Story’ was a blockbuster.
