Among the group, painted storks are among the biggest groups of storks. It is very attractive too. In the paddy fields of Kerala, you can find them in the category of migrating birds. They are distinct for their 4 feet length legs and extra ordinary long neck. Their beak is lengthy, stiff and yellow in colour. Head, addomen and breast are shining white colour. Face is orange –yellow or red colour while their feathers consist of black and white shades. When they stand on single leg, they immerse their head within their body and feathers. They are migrating birds of Kerala and they are seen most in forests areas filled with ponds or marshy places. Their beaks are long and strong. Legs are lengthy that helps them to catch fish easily from ponds and water bodies. Its body is shining black colour and its yellow neck appears as if it has lost its feathers.

White bellied sea eagle is an endangered species and they feed on sea snakes and fishes. They use the same nest for the next year too and they lay two eggs at a season.
