Everyone of us are thrilled in buying the latest refrigerator, washing machine, LCD, LED, electric oven etc. But how many of us really think about its stability, durability and safety without damages? Only a few! We are willing to buy a costlier refrigerator or television that cost above 50, 000. Yet most of us are lazy to buy its stabilizer worth rupees 2000 or 3000.

In our country India, nothing is stable including power. Power variations are quite common and such variations can damage our home appliances easily. High sensitive boards and machinery are used for most of these latest equipments with latest computer technology. Also new machines are not as durable as ones we used to purchase two decades back. Now, equipments never stay alive after the closure of warranty period. So, better option is to protect them for long service and make our purchases worth. If you know about the repairing cost of these sensitive elements of latest equipments, no doubt, everyone will surely love stabilizers! Instead of taking risk and experiment once, it’s always better to spend 2000 more to buy a new stabilizer with every purchase.

What’s the function of a stabilizer? If maintains the equilibrium of power within the electric equipment. If power comes lower and higher than what is desired, it automatically cuts off, thus stopping your equipment from functioning till it gets the correct power. It reduces the on-off mechanism of your compressor if voltage fluctuations occur repeatedly within a few minutes or so.

When you buy a home appliance, you can choose the most suitable stabilizer from that shop itself. If so, shop keeper can give you the best suggestions too. Capacity-watt measures are used for normal electric voltage stabilizer while ampere is the measurement for those used for LED and LCD.  In Indian markets, it’s got in the range 1.2 – 2 Ampere. Its price ranges 2200-2800 rupees. For LED above 32 inches, cost of stabilizers may be above 2400 rupees.
