Madhuri Dixit has remained as the most charismatic beauty of silver screen. Even time and age have never taken away her beauty and popularity. Entered film world in the middle 1980’s with Abodh in the year 1984, she still remains the ‘Darling of the masses’. Though she reached 45+, she still remains charming and lovely as she has been while dancing for the tunes of ‘Dhak dhak’ or ‘Ek do teen’. Latest update is that, the actress who made a bad comeback in the year 2007 with Aaja nachle, after Devdas in 2000, is yet again back to B’town with another woman-oriented movie. The movie is titled – Gulab Gang where she works aside actress Juhi Chawla for the first time. The movie is directed by Soumik Sen.

Apart from Gulab Gang, she is also acting in the sequel of Ishqiya. The movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj is titled, Dedh Ishqiya. The movie is directed by Abhishek Choubey. When she was approached with the written script by Vishal, she was not satisfied by the script. Later they worked again on the script, rewrote it and made Madhuri convincing to it. It’s rumoured that she has demanded a big amount as remuneration too. So, Madhuri’s fans are eagerly waiting for two big releases of the year. Obviously her work will be compared with Vidya Balan, who gave new life to the prequel of Ishqiya. Doubtlessly Vidya is the most talented actress of Bollywood at present who has already done credible performances in movies like Ishqiya, Dirty picture and Kahani.

Aaja Nachle was really a bad comeback for Madhuri. Except the music and a couple of memorable songs like ‘Halchul hui’ and ‘O re piya’, nothing was noted. In a badly crafted movie, there was nothing that Madhuri could make it hers. So, let us hope her next two movies really provide something worth for audience to watch once! Now it’s the comeback time of great heroines who have ruled during 1990’s. Earlier, age above 30 was not suited for top heroines. Now positive signs have already shown up in Bollywood. All the top actresses of Bollywood have already reached 28 or 30 plus. So, similar to Hollywood, audience of India has also raised their standard. Let those positive waves stay here forever so that we never loss those great names of Bollywood, just for the cause of being aged!
