When we enter a kitchen, the things that we get attracted most are its interior design and electric equipments used. Our eyes may catch easy, the colourful trays, dishes and spoon stand. If oven and refrigerator are of latest technology, we may not care other things in the kitchen. Beauty is needed; but it is not the only essential factor of kitchen. Safety and efficiency are equally important. Beauty is only the secondary factor. To avoid dangers in kitchen, you may notice a few things from designing stage itself.

Cooking gas through pipe line

You can make use of steel or copper pipes to connect gas cylinder to hob or gas stove. If a valve is also fixed near your gas stove, you can switch off the gas after use. It avoids damages too. You can make this provision in kitchen with cheap cost. But provide good ventilation in the area where gas cylinder is placed.

If you have decided to place gas cylinder outside main kitchen in work area or near outer wall of your kitchen, make sufficient arrangements during construction phase itself. It saves a lot of money too, for rework. You can provide this space using iron grill or so. If so, you can place gas cylinder inside, without entering the kitchen. Give provision to turn off regulator from kitchen also.

Floor of kitchen

If you have decided to use tiles for kitchen flooring, choose small sized ones. Since they have a lot of joints, they give extra grip. Water spilling is common in kitchen. Such tiles can help you here. Never give slide to flooring. It should be of same level. Otherwise it gives more chances to skid. Now tiles and slabs are readily available in market that gives extra grip. Echo friendly tiles and tiles that conserve health are also available now. Such tiles can be made available in cheap cost too.

Kitchen is the power house of your home. It provides full energy for your family. So, keep it safe though beauty factor can also be considered. If so, you can reduce a lot of hidden dangers for sure.
