Vinod Dham Biography
Vinod Dham is basically an inventor, businessman and venture capitalist. Vinod Dham born in 1950 son of army's civilian department. His father had moved from Rawalpindi to India during the Partition of India. Vinod Dham completed his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Delhi College of Engineering in 1971 (Now Delhi Technological university) at an age of 21.
He left for The US to get a graduate degree, incidentally he had only $8 in his pocket when he reached to America. It was during a presentation of his work on Non-Volatile Memory for the NCR Microelectronics at an IEEE workshop in Monterey California, Vinod Dham was approached by Intel and he immediately joined the company in 1979.
He worked with the Non Volatile Memory team and incidentally was one of the co-inventors of Intel’s first flash memory. He later moved to the microprocessor division where he honed his skills for leading the Pentium project by working on two earlier generations of microprocessors Namely Intel 386 and 486 in various capacities.
