Vidyadharan Master Biography 
Vidhyadharan Master is a popular music composer associated with Malayalam cinema, who has given some evergreen classics for the cine world. He has given music composition for nearly 125 popular songs since early 1980s and has worked with veteran singers like S. Janaki, K. S. Chithra, K. J. Yesudas, Jency, Vani Jairam, Sujatha Mohan, and M. G. Sreekumar. He is best remembered for the classic romantic song sung by Yesudas, Kalpantha Kalatholam featuring Soman from the movie, Ente Gramam (1984). The lyrics written by Sreemoolanagaram Vijayan, with all letters beginning with ‘Ka’ also made it very popular. It’s in fact the first song composed by Master for Malayalam cinema.
He started off his film journey as a singer through Malayalam classic film, Odayil Ninnu. He dreamt to become a singer and fled to Chennai in ambitions to become a singer. But he got his first big break as a composer. His first break as a music composer came in the movie 'Aagamanam', followed by ‘Ashtapadi', and 'Veenapoovu' in 1983. In 1984, Ente Gramam got released, which is regarded as his masterpiece work. There was no turning back after that. Though he was not regular with film songs, and has composed only less number of songs in the past three decades, he has released several devotional albums. Never compromised on quality, his songs are regarded as timeless.
'Chandanam Manakkunna' from Achuvettante Veedu, 'Nashta Swargangale Ningalenikkoru' from Veena Poovu, and the timeless 'Kalpantha Kalatholam' remain his most popular songs. All these songs are sung by Yesudas. The composer is confident enough that his songs have never drawn inspirations from other compositions. He owns a unique style of his own without influence from anyone. That’s why, though a few in number, his songs are regarded as rare compositions and unique tunes. Apart from film songs, he composed devotional, traditional and love songs. The famous composer Johnson worked under Master during his early days. In fact he was under the charge of the orchestra which gave music for the timeless romantic song, 'Kalpantha Kalatholam'.
