Vandemataram Srinivas Biography 
Vandemataram Srinivas is a successful music director and playback singer associated with Telugu cinema. A multi-facet personality he is also a film director and actor. He is a recipient of prestigious Nandi awards 5 times. He won Best Music Director 3 times and Best Male Playback Singer Award 2 times. He also received one Filmfare award for best playback singer. He is associated with film scene since 1985. He composed music for the film, Vande Mataram in 1985 and since then ‘Vande Mataram’ tag got added to his name. Srinivas has rendered his voice for a few Tamil films too, including 2013 film – Biriyani.
He has been associated with theater also, and scored music. He directed one movie – Badmash in 2010, and acted in a few films as well. But he gained popularity as a singer and music composer. In 1998 he received his single Filmfare award for the movie, Aaha, in the best playback singer category. Sri Ramulayya & Orey Rickshaw earned him Nandi award for best playback singer, while Osey Ramulamma, Swayamvaram and Devullu earned him Nandi award for best music composer. Samanyudu in 2006 is one of his major works as a music composer.
He hails from Khammam of present-day Telangana. Amma Na Kodala in 1995 marked his career as an actor. Some of his films as an actor include - Teluguammai, Ammulu, Swayamvaram, Seema tapakai, Gajibiji, Chantigadu, Pstman, Aayudham, Pelli pandiri, Amma na kodala etc. He has acted in a few movies, where he played the role of a music director and playback singer. Seema Tapakai, Telugammayi, Seema Sastri, Samanyudu, Oka Pellam Muddu Rendo Pellam Vaddu, Rowdy Aliya, Apparao Ki Oka Nela Thappindi, Kshemamga Velli Labamgarandi, Jayam Manade Raa etc are some of his movies as a music composer post year 2000.
