Udai Mazumdar Biography 
Udai Mazumdar born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh on March 28, 1970 is an Indian classical instrumental musician a tabla player, music producer and composer. Udai was born in a family of musicians he is married to Filomena Bianculli and the couple has one son and a daughter. His father, Partho Sarathy Mazumdar is also a famous guitarist of Indian classical music.
Udai Mazumdar belongs to a family of musicians and fine artistes and he loves his Tabla playing skills as part of his life who loves music as in the performing world. Incidentally, Udai has the honor to accompany Pt. Ravi Shankar his guru together with Ustad Zakir Hussain in a concert in New Delhi on the occasion of Pt. Ravi Shankar’s 75th birth year.
Based in New Delhi, India and Basel of Switzerland, Udai is busy performing in concerts, teaching students and composing. Udai's tabla solos were full of entertainment and class that added a great deal to the performance. Udai Mazumdar not only composes music but teaches in Switzerland and New Delhi, India. Some of his famous students include Namrata Rai, Bhaskar Das, Rohan Dasgupta, Piu nandi, Rupesh Pathak etc.
Udai has proudly performed for the Royal Families of Britain and Sweden. He has accompanied Ravi Shankar on various occasions. Udai made his presence felt while performing with Zakir Hussain on the eve of the 75th birthday celebration of Ravi Shankar. Udai has broadcast on Radio DRS in Switzerland, BBC TV and Radio France. He has toured extensively all over the world.
Udai Mazumdar has participated in World Music Festival of Rome, Festival in Germany, International Festival for Chernobyl Victims Minsk, Internal Festivals for contemporary Music, Mongolia, Odessa, Vietnam, Indonesia, More recently he created a musical based on Geet Govind by poet Jayadev the eternal songs related to Lord Krishna”, The 'Kabir Tulsi and Us', Strings' and 'Bhaskar”. He has participated in many festivals in Delhi, The Saptak Festival Ahmedabad, Vasantahabba Festival Bengaluru and International Folk Festival of Hungary etc.
