Thrissur C. Rajendran Biography 
Thrissur C. Rajendran is a noted violinist from Kerala. He was born into a family of musicians and scholars and is a member of the royal family of Thalapilly, Thrissur. Late Valiya Kunhunni Raja “Kakkad Karanavarppad” was his maternal grandfather. The renowned Mridangam artist, Trichur C. Narendran is his younger brother and his sister Prema Balachandran is a leading vocalist. He has been associated with many leading vocalists and has also toured several countries. He has also been associated with his brother in several concerts. He was born to Venugopala Raja of Manakulam Palace, Thalapilly, Thrissur and Sarojini. V. Raja on 3 June 1949 and brought up in a musical world.
He was initiated to the world of music and music instrument violin by David Bhagavathar of Kunnamkulam, Thrissur. He started giving public concerts at the age of 15 and has completed nearly 5 decades in this profession. He has played violin as an accompanist and soloist at various prestigious music festivals and cultural programs. He has long term association with All India Radio and a leading professional. He worked in AIR during the period – 1975 to 2009. He debut AIR as an accompanist of Palakkad. K. V. Narayanaswamy. He performed first time on television in Doordarshan aside Pudukkode Krishnamoorthy.
He received "Best Junior Violinist" award from Madras Music Academy in the year 1979. He has received numerous state honours including Kerala State Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award in the year 2006 and "Sangeetha Thilakam" title by Thiruvambadi Devaswom, Thrissur in 2005. He has accompanied leading Carnatic vocalists like Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, Dr.S.Ramanathan, T. N. Seshagopalan, T. V. Sankaranarayanan, D. K. Jayaraman, M. Balamuralikrishna, T. K. Govinda Rao, Dr. R. K. Srikantan, Dr. N. Ramani, T.V.Gopalakrishnan, Madurai.G.S.Mani, K. J. Yesudas, and Neyyattinkara Vasudevan.
