Swati Sharma Biography 
Swati Sharma is a young playback singer associated with Bollywood whose debut song ‘Banno’ song from the movie, Tanu weds Manu returns (2015) became a sensation and a huge chartbuster. This wedding song featured the lead actress Kangana Ranaut, and Swati sang this song aside Brijesh Shandilya. The song emerged as one of the biggest chartbusters in recent times. Later she got opportunity to sing 6 songs in 2016 Bollywood film, Direct Ishq. ‘Direct Ishq’ (an item number) and ‘Ishq Nimboo Sa’ (a romantic track) are the popular tracks. However the rest songs went unnoticed and Sharma is still known for the ‘Banno’ number.
Swati hails from a small town of Bihar and there has been a lot of hard work and struggles which paved her way to Bollywood. She had a lot of struggles of her own. She started singing since her childhood. Her passion to music got initiated since she heard Adnan Sami’s Tera Chehra. Still she doesn’t know the reason, she felt that her voice matches with his, and she used to imitate him. Her father happened to hear her singing and he encouraged her to learn music. Thus she started proper training in classical music from Pankaj Maharaj. She was already interested in music, and used to sing western music as well.
When she came to Mumbai to pursue a career in music, she started off with a music album. Her song went viral over net and was well appreciated among music lovers. She received her first break for ‘Banno’ song from the movie, Tanu weds Manu returns, and it was in fact a huge break to the talented singer. The composer Tanishk Bagchi randomly called her. When she recorded the song, she didn’t know then, it was for this movie. After two months only, it was revealed by the music director that she sang of Kangana Ranaut, and for a big movie, and she was on cloud nine. Vayu is the co-composer of this song, and it’s the solo track composed by the duo for the movie, and the biggest chartbuster indeed.
