Sunil Raoh Biography

Sunil Raoh is a film actor who works in Kannada movies, who occasionally sings and writes lyrics for movies as well. He has acted in numerous films as a child artist during late 1980’s. Raoh started his career as a child artiste in the year 1987 with movies, Kendada Male and Elu Suttina Kote. Later he entered television as a teenager. In 2003, he gained popularly with Bollywood movie Freaky Chakra where he played the role of a young boy infatuated by an older woman, the role being played by senior actress, Deepti Naval. Later he appeared in many south Indian movies and became an established actor.

Sunil was born in a family of musicians on 4 September 1980 in Karnataka. His mother B. K. Sumitra is a prominent Sugama Sangeetha singer. His sister Sowmya Raoh is also an established playback singer. He was too interested in music and entered the film industry to become successful as a singer, but ended up as an actor. Since childhood, he received roles of a film actor and slowly his interest and motives changed to become an actor of the industry. He studied at National College, Jayanagar.

His debuted his acting career as a child artist in the year 1987 with the movies, Kendada Male and Elu Suttina Kote. He later became a favourite of producers and directors and went on featuring in several movies. When he reached teens, he entered television. He acted in daily serials like Janani, Saadhane, Manvantara and Chaduranga which captured the eyes of film makers. His film journey restarted with the movies, Chitra and Panchaalee. But both these movies went unnoticed. His first noted role was Freaky Chakra, followed by Preethi Prema Pranaya. In2004, he played antihero role in Excuse Me, which was well appreciated. Sakha Sakhi, Belli Betta and Jackpot established him as an actor.
