Sudheer Karamana Biography

Sudheer Karamana is a Malayalam film actor known for portraying character roles. He is the son of noted artist - Karamana Janardanan Nair of Elippathayam fame. Similar to his father, Sudheer too is known for acting in supporting roles. Sudheer started his career doing negative roles and later moved to character roles. Now he is busy and active in film industry. Nadan, Left Right Left, Amen, Bavuttiyude Namathil, Kaanchi, Silence and Philips and the Monkey Pen are his recent releases. Ozhimuri (2012) and Thalappavu are among his noted performances. In Thalappavu, he played a full-length character Nalinakshan.

Sudheer Karamana is the son of this highly talented and acclaimed actor, Karamana Janardanan Nair and Jaya. Sudheer was born in Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram city. He has two siblings. He schooled at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom and completed post-graduation from University College, Thiruvananthapuram. He took B. Ed too and started his professional career as a teacher. Currently he is the Principal of Government Girl's Higher Secondary School, Venganoor. His wife Anjana is also a school teacher and the couple has two kids.

He appeared in a mono-act while his schooling in KV, which marked his first stage performance. Sudheer entered movies in the late 1990’s doing bit roles. He got noticed for the first time in the M. Padmakumar-directed Vaasthavam in 2006. He played a negative shaded character of a local rowdy, Pampu Vasu in this movie. Though the character appeared in very few scenes in the film, it helped him to reach limelight and more film offers. 2012 movie ‘Left Right Left’ noticed the team up of sons of 4 legendary Malayalam films actors – Bharath Gopi, Karamana Janardanan Nair, T G Ravi and N N Pillai, and their sons played significant roles in the highly acclaimed movie based on Communist movement in Kerala.
