Saranya Nag Biography 
Saranya Nag is a Tamil film actress, who debut big screen with 2004 movie Kaadhal, in supporting role. Later she played leading roles in Tamil movies, Peraanmai and Mazhaikaalam. In the late 1990’s, she has appeared in child artist role in movies like Kaadhal Kavithai (1998) and Nee Varuvai Ena (1999).
Saranya originally belongs to Andhra Pradesh. But she was born and brought up in Chennai. So she learnt Tamil. She finished her UG from Durga matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Kodambakkam. She appeared as a child artist in 1999 Tamil movie, Nee Varuva Ene starring Parthiban and Devayani in lead roles and Ajith in a cameo appearance. She got supporting role of critically acclaimed movie Kaadal, while studying in the 9th standard. The movie cast a set of newcomers with Bharath and Sandhya playing the pivot role. It was Sandhya’s debut movie too and after that she came to be known as Kaadal Sandhya. She played the role of Sathya, Sandhya’s friend in this movie. She was initially chosen for the lead role. But the role later went to Sandhya. The movie was a surprise blockbuster and Saranya’s acting skills were noticed. She is often referred to as ‘Kadhal Saranya’.
Soon after the release of Kaadhal, she got lead role in ‘Oru Vaarthai Pesu’, but the film was later shelved. In 2006, she debut Telugu film industry playing lead role for 10th class. She was paired opposite Bharat, leading actor of Kaadhal. It was followed by another low budget production ‘Vilayattu’. Then she was signed for S. P. Jananathan's Peraanmai, where she was casted as one among the 5 girls. The movie was a hit and received positive reviews. Her upcoming films include Rettai Vaalu and Eera Veyil, both of Tamil language.
