Saketharaman Biography 
Saketharaman is a Carnatic musician from Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, and one of the most promising vocalists of present-day generation. His sister Vishaka Hari is a Carnatic singer and Harikatha exponent, who performs this art form with her husband. Saketharaman’s brother-in-law Hari is also a performer of Harikatha, who taught Vishaka this art form after marriage. Saketharaman, along with his sister learnt Carnatic music from the legendary Lalgudi Jayaraman, and both are live in Carnatic music concerts too. He is an 'A 'grade All India Radio artist.
He was born on November 24, 1982 in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. His family promotes music and that’s how he along with sister entered the wonderful world of music with blessings from their parents. He also learnt the Carnatic Mridangam to understand rhythm and perform better. He is a brilliant student in academics, though he is busy with his singing profession since young. He secured All India first rank in 12th exams. He completed his master's degree in Software Engineering and currently working in banking sector.
Apart from performing live in concerts in India and also AIR, he has also done many foreign concerts. In 2000, he earned first in an All India Music competition conducted by AIR. He has also done a course of "Performing techniques in Carnatic music". He has also composed over a hundred musical pieces. He is the recipient of Best vocalist award for 3 consecutive years from Music Academy Chennai. Yuva Puraskar by Sangeet Natak Akademy, Delhi, M. S. Subhalakshmi Award by Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai, Yuva Kala Ratna by PSG Institutions, Coimbatore, Kalki Krishnamurthy Award by Kalki Tamil Magazine are among the major honours received by him.
