Rakshita Suresh Biography

Rakshita Suresh is an Indian playback singer who predominantly works in south Indian film industry. Apart from Telugu, Kannada and Tamil languages, she has also recorded a few songs in Bollywood. She is a trained Carnatic singer. She has appeared as a contestant for singing reality show of kids, Super Singer Junior – 3. She has appeared in numerous singing talent hunt shows since young. She won Rhythm Tadheem aired on ETV Kannada and was the Title Winner of "Little Star Singer" 2009 aired on Asianet Suvarna channel. In 2018 she became the first runner up in Super singer 6 aired on Vijay TV (Tamil).

 

Rakshita Suresh was born in Mysore, Karnataka on 1 June 1998. She studied at Mahabodhi School, Mysore and Rotary west school at her home town. Later she completed Plus-two at Sadvidya Composite Pre-University College. Now she is a graduation student at Mysore. Along with her studies, she is carrying her professional career of singing. She became familiar to Kannada audience through a series of singing talent hunt shows, which she became a part of. In fact she won many titles in the reality shows, and it gave her fame and popularity at a very young age.

 

Rakshita Suresh started learning music at the age of 4. She was initiated to Carnatic music by Sukanya Prabhakar, and later she learnt light music from Sunitha Chandrakumar. Now she is taking advanced learning in Carnatic music from different gurus. Now she also learns Hindustani Classical music from Ustaad Faiyaaz Khan. Yevade Subramanyam in 2015 marked her playback singing debut. She was given the first break by Ilaiyaraaja through the song, "Challa Gaali Thakuthunna". Since then she is busy in her playback singing career.
