Rahul Sipligunj Biography

Rahul Sipligunj is a folk singer, playback singer and songwriter associated with Telugu music. He is also known as an independent musician. Rahul gained popularity through Hydrabadi, Telangana slang folk songs, and is known for his unique voice. Apart from independent albums, he has also rendered his voice for around 30 Telugu films. Magajaathi is one among his most popular folk songs which made him immensely popular among the masses. The title track of Rangasthalam is yet another hit song of Rahul. He sang several hit songs for movies, Dammu, Vaastu baagundhi, Eaga, Racha, Chal Mohan Ranga Pedda Puli etc.

 

He hails from Hyderabad, Telangana and was born in the year 1989. His father owns a hair salon and is his family business. Mangalhat, the old city area of Hyderabad is his native place. He has two siblings. His singing talent was noticed by his father at a younger age, and he enrolled him to learn classical music under Vithal Rao, who is popular for singing ghazals written by Hyderabad writers. Rao was his grandfather’s customer at the saloon, and that’s how Rahul was sent to him to have music lessons. Rahul completed his graduation in 2012.

 

He started uploading videos in YouTube channel. He also composed, wrote lines and recorded songs and the songs turned hit. Maakikirkiri, Galli ka Ganesh and Mangamma are among his top songs which earned more than 10-15 million views in YouTube. He received his first film offer in the year 2009 for the movie, Josh. College Bulloda was his first song and very soon he bagged many successful projects. He is equally successful in playback singing and independent albums/singles and most recently rendered his voice for the movies, Chal Mohan Ranga, Rangasthalam etc.
