Parthiv Gohil Biography 
Parthiv Gohil is a well-known playback singer who predominantly works in Bollywood and Gujarat film industry. Most recently he sung two songs for Gujarati film Thai Jashe! penned by Milind Gadhavi. Frequently associated with Sanjay Leela Bhansali movies, he rendered his voice of the director’s movies – Devdas and Saawariya. Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, Kissan, EMI, Heroes etc are some of other Bollywood films. A recipient of Gujarat Gaurav award from Gujarat government, he received best playback singer award for the movies, Prem Ek Pooja (2007) and Mai Odhani ODHI Tara Nammi (2009). He popularizes Gujarati music through live performances across India.
He was born on 18 February 1976 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Both his father and grandfather are great admirers of music. For the same reason, young Parthiv too got attracted to the world of music. They initiated his lessons in classical music. Parthiv learnt music from several gurus including Laxmipati Shukla, a disciple of Pandit Omkarnath Thakur. At the age of 14, he won a state-based singing talent hunt show, instituted in the name of Pandit Omkarnath Thakur. He took advanced learning in Hindustani music from Zia Fariduddin Dagar.
At present his name needs no introduction to Gujarati music industry. Apart from films, he also rendered his voice for several albums, bhajans and folk music. He rendered his voice for Monty sharma’s compositions for Saawariya - "Yun Shabnami" and "Daras Bina Nahin Chain". He did some back vocals for Devdas. As an artist he performed in Mumbai, Udaipur and Kolkata, apart from US and other foreign countries. He is known for popularizing Gujarati music. In the revived version of National song on integration, "Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara", he was the only Gujarati artist to be featured.
